The Nigeria Police Force has announced the arrest of 13 suspects in relation to the murder of two traditional rulers in Ekiti State on Monday.
The Force Spokesman, Muyiwa Adejobi, who made the disclosure on Channels Television’s Politics Today programme on Thursday, said the suspects were giving the police reliable and useful information.
“Now, we have 13 suspects arrested so far in connection with that incident. And we are sure we are going to get more of these suspects,” he said.
“We are working with them and they are giving us reliable and useful information. We are sure and optimistic that we are going to get all of them apprehended and bring them to book.”

The slain monarchs were Oba Olatunde Olusola, the Onimojo of Imojo-Ekiti, and Oba David Ogunsola, the Elesun of Esun-Ekiti. They were ambushed and killed by unknown gunmen while returning from a meeting in Irele-Ekiti.
Adejobi also said the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, has deployed an Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) to the South-West state to flush out the marauders.
He added that the police have deployed helicopter and armoured personnel carriers to the state to enhance security.
He assured the residents of the state that the police were working to rescue the pupils and teachers who were abducted around Eporo-Ekiti area of the state.
He urged the public to remain calm and cooperate with the police and other security agencies.
