1MMC Group Pledges $20,000 Reward for Anyone, Including INEC, Who Can Prove Tinubu Won 2023 Presidential Election

The 1st Nigerian Movement for Credible Elections (1MMC) has declared a $20,000 reward for anyone who can definitively prove that Bola Ahmed Tinubu won the 2023 Presidential Election.

In a bold move, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has been invited to participate in the challenge, granting them an equal opportunity to provide evidence supporting Tinubu’s purported win.

Through its official X handle, the group ignited controversy in Nigeria’s political sphere with this recent challenge.

The stringent conditions set by 1MMC require a detailed collection of documents, which are:

“Verified copies of Form EC8A from all polling units.

“Complete records of all voters accredited on iReV (Integrated Register of Voters).

It also listed, among others, “Comprehensive logs detailing the data transfer from the Biometric Verification and Authentication System (BVAS) to iReV for the Presidential elections across all polling units.

The group has pledged to award the promised sum to the successful challenger after a comprehensive forensic examination of the submitted data. With the deadline set for the 25th of May 2024, the countdown has started for potential challengers to come forward and grab this unique opportunity.

Parallel Facts reports that the United States 2023 Country Reports on Human Rights Practices under corruption in the government stated that Nigeria’s 2023 national election was filled with irregularities, suppression and intimidation.

Also, recall that reports from the European Union and international observers on the 2023 Nigerian general election have raised concerns about the transparency and credibility of the process.

Despite these allegations, INEC declared Tinubu the winner of the election, allegedly beating his closest rivals, Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi.

NN News Media in one of its reports, also stated that Tinubu has been accused of drug trafficking and money laundering during his stay in the United States. Additionally, there have been disputes surrounding his academic credentials from Chicago State University (CSU). The university has distanced itself from the certificate Tinubu submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), casting doubts on its authenticity.

Under Nigerian law, these controversies could have resulted in Tinubu’s disqualification from the Presidential race. However, the court proceedings surrounding these issues have been criticized for apparent compromises, raising concerns about the integrity of Nigeria’s judicial system.

But, despite these controversies, Tinubu’s election victory was upheld by the Supreme Court.
