The 2024 UTME exercise, scheduled to commence on Monday, will take place at 747 certified Computer-Based Test (CBT) centers, as announced by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
In a bulletin released in Abuja, JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin revealed that out of the 907 CBT centers initially shortlisted for accreditation, only 747 passed revalidation and integrity tests.
Observations from a reporter, who monitored registration activities at various CBT centers in the FCT and surrounding areas, indicated a notable presence of candidates.
While some candidates reported a seamless registration process, others expressed concerns.
One-Man Village’s Future Gate CBT center had a candidate, Chinaza Onuegbu, who faced challenges registering and was directed to another center without a clear explanation.

On further inquiry, he was advised to return the next day with his JAMB profile code, which he had not obtained.
Conversely, at the Global Learning Institute, situated opposite the Federal Ministry of Finance, candidate Pelumi Rotimi described her registration experience as smooth, completing the process within a few minutes.
For the 2024 UTME registration, candidates are required to provide their National Identification Number (NIN), O’level results, preferred institution and course, undergo biometric verification, and pay the JAMB registration fee.
