Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections, Peter Obi has refuted Bola Tinubu’s description of the tragic Kaduna bombing as an act of God.
Recall on December 3, 2023, a drone strike was carried out by the Nigerian Armed Forces on Tudun Biri, Kaduna. Targeting what they thought was a group of bandits, the army mistakenly hit a village, killing at least 85 civilians.
Tinubu, during his condolence visit to Maiduguri, the capital of Borno, had described the military drone attack on Tundun Biri in the Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Northwest Nigeria, as an act of God.
However, Obi, during a session hosted by Parallel Facts on X (formerly known as Twitter), countered Tinubu’s statement.

He stated, “Killing 85 civilians is not an act of God.” This statement was in direct opposition to Tinubu’s earlier comments.
Obi further expressed his condolences to the victims of the bombing and urged Nigerians to put politics aside and show support for the victims of the massacre.
