Bola Tinubu has appointed Mr Mohammed Abba Isa as the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Disability Matters.
The appointment was announced in a statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Chief Ajuri Ngelale.
He said the appointment is part of Tinubu’s administration’s determination to ensure that every segment of society is sufficiently catered to within the ambit of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Isa is a distinguished champion of persons with disabilities with over a decade of experience in local and international advocacy on matters concerning persons with disabilities.
He is a graduate of Public Administration with honors from the University of Maiduguri and holds a Masters in Public Administration from the same institution.
In his new role, Isa will be responsible for proactively creating avenues of opportunity for inclusion through the inculcation of persons with disabilities (PWD) requirements and perspectives in the policies and programs of all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies of the Federal Government.

He will also work closely with sub-national authorities to build a national consensus on PWD-friendly policy and environmental conditions in collaboration with the National Commission for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD).
Tinubu also tasked Isa to ensure that the voices of persons with disabilities are heard and their needs are met.
He equally called on all stakeholders to work together to create a more inclusive society for all.
