She said, “The suspect admitted to knowing the deceased identified as Darasimi, whom he lured to his residence with the intent to kill her. He confessed to the murder, naming two other individuals as Kehinde Yemitan and one Kazeem, as accomplices in the criminal act. Their intention was to sell the victim’s head and other body parts.’’

The police spokesperson stated that the dismembered body had been taken to the morgue at General Hospital, Ijaye, Abeokuta, for a post-mortem examination.

She highlighted ongoing efforts to apprehend the suspect’s accomplices and locate the victim’s relatives.

Ms. Odutola further revealed that the suspect would be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Eleweran, Abeokuta, for a comprehensive investigation.

She also recalled a similar case earlier in the year, where a suspect, Azeez Adebayo, admitted to killing three women he and his accomplices had lured through hookup arrangements.

Issuing a warning, she advised young women to avoid “hookup” practices and to embrace contentment, expressing concern over the alarming number of girls falling victim to ritual killings through such arrangements.

Additionally, she urged parents to monitor their daughters closely and provide proper guidance to prevent them from becoming targets of ritualists.#police
