Bola Tinubu’s administration has dismissed criticisms that widespread hunger occasioned by its harsh economic policies contributed to the stampedes that led to the death of many Nigerians.
In a statement by information minister Idris Mohammed on Sunday, he maintained that the same incident happened during the administration of the past government.
According to him, linking such tragic incident to the reform of Tinubu is unfounded and disingenuous.”
His statement reads,”It is worth noting that similar unfortunate occurrences have been recorded in the past, before the current administration.

“As such, making any attempt to link these tragedies to the President’s reforms is unfounded and disingenuous.”
