Bola Tinubu has stated that he won’t be probing the Service Chiefs because they are operating in a huge country with lots of forest and unoccupied spaces, and that it’s essential to respect their institutions and the work they do.
He believes that investigating them would be a form of disrespect, and instead, wants to focus on supporting and working with them to achieve the country’s security goals.
According to him, the Service Chiefs deserve commendation for their efforts, and he’s confident in their ability to handle the country’s security challenges.
Tinubu stated this while fielding questions on utilisation of funds by the Service Chiefs in the fight against terrorism and other security challenges in the country,
He said, “I am not probing Service Chiefs. You cannot disrespect the institutions because of threat of probe and you cannot fight this war without investment in technology, in weaponry and training.
