Despite Worsening Hardship, Tinubu Says Nigeria Moving Forward Regardless of Critics

Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu has assured Nigerians that the nation is progressing despite criticism of his administration’s economic policies.

Speaking during his maiden media chat aired from Lagos on Monday, the president maintained that Nigeria is on a path to recovery, even as citizens face economic challenges.

Commenting on the proposed 2025 budget of ₦49.7 trillion, Tinubu described it as a “budget of restoration of hope” and called for understanding and cooperation from Nigerians.

“Nigeria is moving forward regardless of critics. This is a budget of restoration of hope, and Nigeria is on the path of recovery. We can’t finish the job in one calendar year,” Tinubu stated.
