Amid the rising inflation, hundreds of Lagos residents flocked to the Lagos residence of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, seeking food and assistance for Christmas.
The massive crowd made up of men, women, and children, gathered in anticipation of receiving aid, as the economic hardships of 2024 have left many struggling to afford basic necessities for Christmas celebrations.
According to a circulated video on X (formerly Twitter), the crowd began forming in the early hours of the morning till late at night, with people sitting outside the gate and street, hoping to collect food items.
It was however stated that and referred to as unpopular opinion: “If you ask these people to come out for a protest or start a protest there, they will refuse.”

The sight of thousands outside Tinubu’s home paints a stark picture of the economic challenges faced by Nigerians.
