West Ham’s Michail Antonio ‘Grateful to Be Alive’ After Car Crash

West Ham striker Michail Antonio has expressed his gratitude for being alive after spending three weeks in hospital recovering from a lower limb fracture sustained in a car crash on December 7.

The 34-year-old suffered the injury when his Ferrari was involved in a single-vehicle accident in Epping, Essex. Antonio underwent surgery on his broken leg and was discharged from the hospital on Tuesday.

In a social media post, Antonio shared how the experience made him realize “just how precious life is.”

He expressed his appreciation for the medical staff, his West Ham teammates, and the broader football community for the support he received during his recovery.
