The Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) has released photos showing the aftermath of an attack on a Nigerian Army base in Borno State.
The group claims that many soldiers were killed in the assault, and 12 armoured tanks and military vehicles were destroyed.
The release of the photos by ISWAP highlights the growing threat posed by insurgent groups in northeastern Nigeria, despite ongoing military operations to counter such attacks.
