Babatunde Gbadamosi, a prominent Nigeria activist and politician has reignited concerns over what he describes as a “Fulanisation agenda” in Nigeria.
In a post on X formerly Twitter, he directed at Yoruba people, particularly supporters of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Gbadamosi claimed that the Fulani ethnic group is pushing for dominance across the country and beyond.
He insisted that his warnings, which date back to 2010, are now manifesting, and urged Yoruba people to recognize the alleged threat.
According to Gbadamosi, “Islamisation, Jihad, and Sharia” are not merely religious tools but instruments of subjugation under Fulani rule.

He further suggested that the ultimate goal is to establish a Fulani-controlled empire across Africa.
His statement comes amid ongoing debates over ethnic and religious influences in Nigerian politics, as well as tensions over the actions of Fulani herders in different parts of the country.
In a provocative remark, he asked Yoruba people if they would continue to “eat Fulani meat,” an apparent reference to cattle rearing, which is largely controlled by Fulani herders.
He urged them to remain vigilant and not be swayed by political maneuvers designed to pacify their concerns.
Gbadamosi’s remarks are likely to stoke further ethnic debates in a nation already grappling with deep-seated tribal and religious divisions.
