Two others remain in critical condition and are receiving treatment.
Sources attribute the crash to excessive speeding by the drivers.
Confirming the incident, Ondo State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Samuel Ibitoye, stated that a preliminary investigation revealed one of the vehicles was driving against traffic.
Ibitoye urged drivers to exercise caution, maintain their vehicles properly, and avoid reckless driving. He also encouraged passengers to speak out against unsafe driving practices, stressing that road safety is a collective responsibility.
