Human rights activist Aisha Yesufu has criticized the Nigerian elites and intellectuals for praying for Nigeria’s incompetent leaders instead of demanding good governance from them.
In a post shared on her official X handle, Yesufu stated that God will not do for us what we have the capacity to do.
She emphasized the need for the Nigerian elites to hold the government by its jugular and make them give good governance to the people by fire by force.
Her post reads,”Nigerian intellectuals and elites will be praying for wisdom for incompetent leaders destroying the economy and wasting lives but they have anger for fellow citizens!
“Hold the government by its jugular and make it give good governance by fire by force!
“No!It’s prayers!God will not do for us what he has given us the capacity for us to do for ourselves,” she added.
