The Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered the permanent forfeiture of $4.7 million, ₦830 million, and multiple properties linked to the former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele.
In a judgment delivered on Friday, Justice Yellim Bogoro also ordered the final forfeiture of investments valued at $900,000, linked to one of Emefiele’s close relatives, Anita Joy Omoile.
These assets were part of an investigation initiated by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) into alleged unlawful activities.

Additionally, the court granted the final forfeiture of $4.4 million in investments connected to Deep Blue Energy Services Ltd, and N283 million in Zenith Bank accounts linked to Liman Investment Ltd.

Further forfeitures include €20,000 and £1,999.50, traced to Exactquote Bureau De Change (BDC), all of which are companies with ties to Omoile.
The court’s ruling ensures that these assets, which were deemed proceeds of unlawful activities, are permanently forfeited to the Federal Government of Nigeria.
