Widespread Hunger: Remi Tinubu Empowers 500 Nigerian Women with Household Items, Urges Them Not to Sell Empowerment Items

Oluremi Tinubu, wife of Bola Tinubu, has provided empowerment to “500 less-privileged women in Nasarawa State” by distributing household items.

The empowerment initiative included “deep freezers, standing gas cookers and ovens, grinding machines and generating sets.”

During the presentation of the items at the “Government House, Lafia,” on Friday, Oluremi Tinubu explained that the initiative was part of the “Renewed Hope Initiative” under “President Bola Tinubu’s administration.”

Remi, represented at the event by the “Nasarawa State First Lady, Silifat Abdullahi-Sule,” emphasized that the distributed items were meant to “ameliorate their socio-economic challenges.”

She encouraged the beneficiaries to “use the items to better their lives, and not to sell them,” and praised the women for their “continuous support to sustain the existing peace and unity among all ethnic groups in the state.”

“The aim of distributing these items is to empower every one of you and improve your social-economic status,” she stated.

“The Renewed Hope Initiative will continue to support and empower less-privileged women in order for every one of us to have a better society.”

“I, therefore, appeal to all the 500 beneficiaries not to sell the empowerment items so that soon, they will also be able to contribute positively to the state and Nigeria at large,” she added.

In a welcome address, the “Nasarawa First Lady,” represented by the “Special Adviser to Governor Abdullahi Sule on Women Affairs, Elsie Monde,” expressed appreciation to the wife of ” Bola Tinubu” for implementing the empowerment program.

She reassured the gathering that “the state’s women remain committed to supporting the Tinubu-led administration” and emphasized that the distributed items would “go a long way in addressing the economic challenges of the beneficiaries.”

The “Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, Emmanuel Yonah,” pledged the ministry’s ongoing support for the “Renewed Hope Initiative” to “ensure optimal productivity.”
