Atiku’s Aide Knocks Akpabio’s Wife for Dismissing Natasha’s Sexual Harassment Allegations

Phrank Shaibu, the Special Adviser on Public Communication to former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, has criticized Unoma Akpabio, wife of Senate President Godswill Akpabio, over her remarks concerning the sexual harassment allegations against her husband.

Shaibu dismissed Unoma’s comments rejecting the allegations made by Kogi Central Senator Natasha Akpoti, calling them a joke.

The controversy began after the Senate altered its seating arrangement, leading to a confrontation between Akpoti and Akpabio. During the exchange, Akpoti asserted that she was not intimidated by the Senate President.

On Friday, she provided details of her allegations, claiming that Akpabio had made sexual advances toward her in the presence of her husband.

She alleged that the Senate President invited her to his residence for “a good time,” suggesting it would come with certain privileges.

Akpoti likened her experience to that of a student failing an exam for refusing to sleep with a lecturer, accusing Akpabio of deliberately undermining and victimizing her by rejecting her motions.

In response, Unoma Akpabio condemned Akpoti’s claims, accusing her of fabricating the allegations for personal gain. Speaking at a press conference, she stated that Akpoti’s husband, Uduaghan, should have reached out to her privately, as they were friends.

Reacting via an X post, Shaibu wrote: “So, madam truly believes that High Chief Emmanuel Uduaghan, the revered Alema of Warri Kingdom, should have personally reached out to her to lament that the “Uncommon Transformer” harbored indecent intentions toward his wife?

“That, he didn’t call to say your hubby wanted to f*ck his wife makes the account of @@NatashaAkpoti false? What a joke.”

Meanwhile, Unoma has instituted a legal action against Natasha over her allegations and demanded N250 billion as damages.
