Mojisola Meranda, speaker of the Lagos state house of assembly, has stepped down from her position after 49 days in office at the ongoing plenary.
The speaker resigned after a meeting with Mudashiru Obasa, the embattled former speaker, Cornelius Ojelabi, chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Lawal Pedro, the attorney-general of Lagos state.
The Deputy Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mojeed Fatai, also resigned.
Parallelfact had earlier reported that Mudashiru Obasa revealed on Thursday that he has resumed his role as Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly.
