“Unacceptable Behaviour,” Sowore Condemns Nigerian Air Force Assault on Ikeja Electric Workers, Demands Sanctions

Human rights activist Omoyele Sowore has condemned the assault on Ikeja Electric (IE) staff by Nigerian Air Force (NAF) personnel, calling for swift disciplinary action against those involved.

According to the report, at least 10 IKEDC workers sustained injuries and were hospitalized after being attacked by NAF officers in Ikeja, Lagos.

A disturbing video obtained by SaharaReporters shows some of the electricity workers kneeling with their hands raised, following orders from Air Force personnel.

Reacting to the incident on Thursday via his X handle, Sowore described the officers’ actions as “unacceptably egregious” and urged NAF authorities to take immediate action against those responsible.
