VIDEO: Trader in Onitsha Market Breaks Down in Tears as Alleged NAFDAC Officials Loot Shop During Raid

A video circulating on social media captures a distraught woman accusing NAFDAC officials of looting her store during a recent enforcement operation against fake drugs at the Ogbo Ogwu market.

The footage, which has triggered widespread outrage, shows the trader in deep distress, claiming that her shop was ransacked under the guise of regulatory enforcement by NAFDAC officials.

However, Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor, the lawyer for the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has demanded an immediate investigation into the alleged looting of the female trader’s shop by officials of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) at the well-known Ogbo Ogwu drug market in Onitsha, Anambra.

In a statement issued on Saturday in response to the woman’s plea, Ejiofor condemned the alleged actions of the NAFDAC officials, describing it as a “grave injustice” that requires urgent intervention from the relevant authorities.

“This alarming footage exposes a serious abuse of power. While the fight against counterfeit drugs is crucial, it must not be carried out in a manner that jeopardizes the livelihoods of innocent traders,” he said.
