Trump Terminates Biden’s Order on Advancing LGBTQI Globally

President Donald Trump has signed an executive order revoking 19 executive actions issued by former President Joe Biden.

Among the rescinded orders is the Presidential Memorandum of February 4, 2021, which focused on advancing the human rights of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Intersex (LGBTQI+) individuals worldwide.

Also, Trump has rolled back directives related to data-driven responses to COVID-19, national security workforce revitalization, and increasing the minimum wage for federal contractors.

With this latest move—targeting gender policies, labor regulations, and industry oversight—Trump has now overturned nearly 100 of Biden’s executive actions.

A White House statement emphasized the administration’s intent to “continue reviewing and repealing harmful Biden-era policies to usher in a new golden age for America.”

Trump also signed an executive order to reduce the size of the federal government by eliminating “unnecessary government entities.” The affected entities include the U.S. Interagency Council on Homelessness, the Community Development Financial Institutions Fund, the Minority Business Development Agency, the U.S. Arctic Research Commission, the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service, the U.S. Agency for Global Media, the Woodrow Wilson International Centre for Scholars, and the Institute of Museum and Library Services.

The President’s action follows efforts by the Department of Government Efficiency, DOGE, to cut waste, fraud, and abuse within the federal government.
