A mother named Sharifa Noma and her newborn twin daughters lost their lives as their vehicle was ambushed by bandits in Sokoto.

The family’s attempt to seek medical help for the mother ended tragically when the vehicle collided with a roadblock set up by the assailants, leading to a fatal fire.

According to sources, the woman put to bed at home around 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

“After losing too much blood, her family decided to take her to the hospital for possible blood infusion,” the source stated.

Their vehicle was said to have rammed into a road block erected by bandits along Ruwa Wuri-Bugawa Road in the Tangaza local government area of Sokoto.

The bandits opened fire on the vehicle, and the driver lost control, after which the vehicle hit a tree and burst into flames.
