Google Announces Deletion of Inactive Gmail Accounts Starting Dec 1

The widely-used search engine, Google, has revealed its decision to initiate the permanent deletion of inactive Gmail accounts, effective December 1.

According to a statement, the company defines an account as inactive if the user has not engaged in any activity or logged in for a period of two years.

The tech company clarified that its products maintain the right to erase user data under such circumstances.

“Due to this policy, December 1, 2023, is the earliest a Google account will be deleted,” the announcement emphasized.

It is important to note that this deletion policy exclusively pertains to personal accounts.
