The Abia State Government has refuted recent claims circulating online that it allocated a staggering sum of N927 million for Governor Alex Otti’s meals, welfare packages, and related expenses over a three-month period.
According to a publication by SaharaReporters, an alleged budget performance document suggested that between July and September 2023, the Otti-led administration disbursed N223,389,889.84 on refreshments and meals, with an additional N305,400,000.00 dedicated to honorarium and sitting allowances for government officials.
