I’ll Strive to Include My Name in Guinness Book of Records – Tinubu

Former Lagos State Governor, Bola Tinubu, said he deserved recognition in the Guinness Book of Records, attributing this to his economic initiatives during his tenure as the governor of Lagos State.

He said this at the 10th German-Nigerian Business Forum.

Tinubu contends that these reforms played a pivotal role in securing the trust of Nigerians.

Emphasizing the significance of his accomplished track record, Tinubu asserted that his achievements in governance should be acknowledged on a global scale.

In the event that such recognition is not forthcoming, Tinubu expressed his determination to actively pursue the inclusion of his name in the esteemed Guinness World Records (GWR).

“I governed Lagos for eight consecutive years. Today, I can proudly beat my chest that Lagos state is on the horizon and the fifth-largest economy in Africa, rising from zero. This is the track record that led me to the presidency.

“Nigeria voted for me for reforms and from day one of my inauguration, I started the reform. To me, if you didn’t mention me in the Guinness Book of Records, I’d thrive to find a way to insert myself because I did it without expectation,” he said on a lighter note.

Tinubu’s remarks coincided with the signing of two significant agreements between Nigerian and German companies in Berlin on Tuesday.

The initial deal, forged between Riverside LNG of Nigeria and Johannes Schuetze Energy Import AG of Germany, entails the provision of gas from Nigeria to Germany.
