The apex Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has advised Igbos residing in Lagos State to consider relocating their investments to the Southeast region.
The organization highlighted the substantial growth potential in cities such as Aba, Abakiliki, and Onitsha, encouraging Igbos to explore investment opportunities in these areas.
According to a statement issued by the factional Secretary-General of Ohanaeze, Okechukwu Isiguzoro, the organization believes that the current moment presents a strategic opportunity for Igbos to reassess their investments and consider channeling them towards the Eastern region.
Ohanaeze Ndigbo aims to empower the Igbo community by fostering economic development in the Southeast through strategic investment decisions.

The statement reads partly: “He encourages Igbos to seize this moment as an opportunity to reassess their investments and consider relocating them to the Eastern region.
“Our vibrant cities, such as Aba, Abakiliki, and Onitsha, offer immense potential for growth and development. By investing and building international markets in these areas, we can create prosperous economic hubs that will benefit not only the Igbo people but also contribute to the overall development of Nigeria.
“Ohanaeze Ndigbo calls on all Igbo residents in Lagos to come together and support one another during this challenging period. Together, we can navigate through these difficulties and forge a brighter future for ourselves and generations to come.”
