Nigerians have taken to social media to accuse Bola Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of relying on rigging to win elections.
The controversy began after a post by user iDAN (@dangbanamanager) declared, “Tinubu and APC can’t win any election in Nigeria without rigging.”
Several other users echoed the sentiment, insisting that the ruling party has never won any contest on merit.

One user, Odunayo Ejire (@macw_internatnl), wrote, “Na the hope way them get be that.”
Val Mary (@ValMary89666872) claimed, “They know that. Tinubu can not even get up to a million votes without rigging. Tinubu is an unpopular president.”
Ejo Onyishi (@EjoOnyishi) said, “That’s exactly the simple truth. There’s no way they can win a free and fair election anywhere in Nigeria.”
Dj Kelz (@Djkelz201) dismissed the matter in one word: “Life.”
Others linked the ruling party to violent tactics beyond ballot manipulation.
KateOfoha (@ChinweOfoha2) stated, “Not just rigging; thuggery and battering of innocent citizens. They are already dishing out warnings as though everyone in the country na BAT slave.”
Another user, It’s Sean (@obaofnft), added, “100% plus thuggery, battering, vote buying, using INEC with Glitch clause and many more. They are nothing without these. Desperados.”
Turning Point Nigeria (@tpng2025) remarked, “Tinubu didn’t rely on votes last time, so why would he start now? He knows Nigerians are unhappy, but of course, politicians are the only ones smiling, for obvious reasons.”
The reactions highlight growing distrust in the country’s electoral system and renewed questions about Tinubu’s legitimacy as leader.
