In a recent statement, Peter Obi urged the youth of the nation not to cower in the face of the bad governance that pervades the country today.
The former Anambra State Governor made this call in an interactive session with young entrepreneurs in an event aimed at discussing how to ‘Accelerate Actions to Achieve the Social Development Goals (SDGs) in Nigeria Through Entrepreneurship and Civic Engagements’.
Obi encouraged the youths to take on entrepreneurship, as it is only through it that the country can move from consumption to production.
He stated, “I encouraged the youths to take on entrepreneurship, no matter the difficulties they face in the country, as it is only through entrepreneurship that we will be able to build a strong small business sector that will catalyze the economy, foster productivity, and help in moving the country from consumption to production.”

Obi also vehemently reminded the youths that “Nigeria belongs to them, and they must not cower in the face of difficult challenges and bad governance that pervade the nation today, but must raise their voices and demand good governance.”
Obi’s statement comes at a time when the country is grappling with various challenges, including economic instability, insecurity, and corruption. His words serve as a rallying cry for the youth, encouraging them to stand up against these issues and work towards a better Nigeria.
