The Nigerian Army has claimed responsibility for the air strike that resulted in numerous casualties in Tudun Biri village, Kaduna State, on Sunday.
Initial reports had erroneously attributed the operation to the Nigerian Air Force, a claim promptly denied by the Air Force.

Samuel Aruwan, the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs in Kaduna State, confirmed the army’s admission during an emergency security meeting on Monday.
The incident has raised concerns about the circumstances surrounding the air strike and the need for a thorough investigation to ascertain the events leading to the tragic loss of lives and injuries in the village.
