Aisha Bello Mustapha, a well-known newscaster with the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), has reportedly passed away in the early hours of Monday, December 11, 2023.
The Nigerian media industry mourns her loss, as her death, which occurred at a hospital in Abuja, has left a significant gap in the media sector, where she was celebrated for her exceptional broadcasting abilities.
News of her demise quickly spread across social media, triggering a wave of reactions from Nigerians who expressed their sorrow and offered their condolences.

Mustapha, who was a prominent broadcaster on the NTA Network News at Nine during the 1990s and early 2000s, also served as the former general manager of the NTA Parliament. She retired in May 2022 after a remarkable 35-year career.
A prayer service in her honor is scheduled to take place at the Central Mosque in Abuja at 1:00 p.m. on Monday.
