The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has officially declared Olu Ogunloye, a former Minister of Power and Steel, wanted on charges of forgery and corruption.
The announcement, made through a communique shared by the EFCC on Wednesday, includes a plea for information on Ogunloye’s whereabouts.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s statement displayed Ogunloye’s image along with contact details for individuals with useful information.
Citizens are urged to contact EFCC offices across various cities or use the provided phone number and email address.
The communique stated, “Anybody with useful information as to his whereabouts should please contact the Commission in its Benin, Kaduna, Ibadan, Sokoto, Maiduguri, Mardi, Ilorin, Enugu, Kano, Lagos, Gombe, Uyo, Port Harcourt, and Abuja offices or contact 08093322644 or email [email protected] or the nearest police station and any other security agencies.”
Ogunloye had previously been questioned in connection with an alleged $6 billion Build, Operate, and Transfer contract.

The EFCC’s investigation into officials from the Federal Ministry of Power and the Ministry of Agriculture revealed a substantial procurement fraud, leading to the recovery of N27,184,357,524.52 and $19,084,419.33.
These funds, earmarked for the Mambilla and Zungeru Power projects, were diverted through various Bureau de Change operators.
The politician, who also served as the former Minister of State for Defence (Navy), had pursued candidacy for Governor of Ondo State. Ogunloye was associated with both the People’s Democratic Party and the Action Congress of Nigeria during his political career.
