Bola Tinubu has relieved the top executives of Nigeria’s aviation agencies, including FAAN, NAMA, NCAA, and NiMET.
The announcement of the dismissals was made on Wednesday in a statement by Ajuri Ngelale, the presidential spokesperson.
New appointees have been named to assume leadership roles in these agencies.
Ngelale said that the substitutions were implemented “with the aim of establishing world-class standards for consumer protection and advancing the well-being of Nigerian passengers and various stakeholders within the Civil Aviation sector.”
Mrs. Olubunmi Oluwaseun Kuku has been appointed as the new Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), succeeding Mr. Kabir Yusuf Mohammed.
This change is part of a broader move that has seen several key positions within the ministry’s purview restructured.
The Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) will now be headed by Engr. Umar Ahmed Farouk, who takes over from Mr. Tayib Adetunji Odunowo.
