Former Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, has showered praise on his ex-colleague and current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, hailing him as a man of conviction, character, and courage.
The commendation came through a birthday message conveyed by Ikpeazu’s spokesperson, Onyebuchi Ememanka, who highlighted Wike’s unwavering commitment to democracy and fundamental freedoms.
“One thing that clearly defines the persona of Nyesom is that he is a fearless and uncompromising advocate of democracy and the fundamental freedoms that come with it,” the message stated.
Ikpeazu further lauded he’s pivotal role in promoting positive change and democratic ethos within Nigeria. “Wike has carved a niche for himself as a strong and fearless advocate of democratic values in Nigeria and an agent of positive change,” Ikpeazu added.
Recall that prior to the general elections, a group of governors christened G5, which had Ikpeazu, Wike, Samuel Ortom, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, and Seyi Makinde, all PDP governors as members, disagreed with the party leadership.
