Former Anambra Governor, Dr. Chukwuemeka Ezeife, Passes Away at 85

Former governor of Anambra State, Dr. Chukwuemeka Ezeife, affectionately known as ‘Okwadike’ has died.

He was confirmed dead at the Federal Medical Centre in Abuja on Thursday, leaving behind a legacy that spans decades.

Born on November 20, 1938, the Dr. served as the governor of Anambra State from January 1992 to November 1993 during the turbulent times of the aborted Third Republic. He also served as a Federal Permanent Secretary, Political Adviser to the President, and a Presidential aspirant.

Chief Rob, speaking on behalf of the Ezeife Dynasty of Igbo-Ukwu, officially announced the passing in a press release. He remarked, “On behalf of the Dynasty, I wish to announce the promotion to glory of our most distinguished son, ‘Okwadike,’ Dr. Chukwuemeka Ezeife, CON.”
