In a move to foster festive cheer among civil servants, Governor Simi Fubara of Rivers State has given the nod for the disbursement of a N100,000 Christmas bonus to employees on the government’s payroll.
The announcement was made by Warisenibo Johnson, the Commissioner of Information and Communications, in a statement released on Tuesday.
Governor Fubara, expressing his commitment to a joyous Yuletide celebration for workers, officially granted approval for the bonus payment.
This development occurred shortly after Bola Ahmed Tinubu successfully brokered an eight-point resolution aimed at resolving the political impasse between Governor Fubara and the current Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.

In response to the resolution deal, The Governor emphasized the paramount importance of peace, stating, “There is no price that will be too big to pay to ensure peace prevails.”
