How Tinubu Failed To Acknowledge Plateau Massacre, Pay Tribute to Victims in New Year Address

Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu

Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu failed to pay tribute to over 195 residents that died in the terrorist attacks in Plateau in his New Year Message to Nigerians on Monday.

The attacks, documented by Parallel Facts, occurred across 17 communities, with a recent incident in Shere village claiming two lives just four days later.

Despite ongoing global mourning, Chief Tinubu made no mention of the victims.

In a separate report, a verified account disclosed that a local hunter in Shere village bravely confronted attackers, killing one of them during an verifiably Islamist Fulani assault against Christians.

The incident added to the prevailing atmosphere of distress, along with another distressing event in Bokkos Local Government Area.

Three youths were ambushed and killed at Lut village while attempting to retrieve their relatives who sought refuge in Bokkos town after a previous invasion of their community.

Kefas Mallai, the Chairman of Community Peace Observers in Bokkos LG, confirmed the tragic loss of the three youths and emphasized the urgency for the Federal Government to take decisive actions. In a statement titled “Plateau Killings: A Pervasive Issue and the Urgency for State Police,” Jang underscored the need to prevent further assaults and fatalities in Plateau and other regions of the nation.
