APC Appeals to Nigerians to Stand Steadfast Despite PDP’s Criticism of New Year Message

In a recent statement, the All Progressives Congress (APC) rallied Nigerians to support ongoing efforts aimed at improving living conditions.

The party’s national publicity secretary, Felix Morka, responded to the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) critique of the New Year message, stating that the PDP’s criticism highlighted its incapacity to serve as a credible opposition.

Morka emphasized that democratic opposition involves constructive engagement, not “casting crude aspersions without justification.” He defended the New Year address, describing it as “measured, sensitive, articulate, highly presidential, and an excellent fit for the occasion.”

He added, “The president was forthright in acknowledging the transient tough impact of some policies, expressing commitment to tackle challenges for a safer and stronger country.” Morka highlighted the president’s focus on addressing power challenges, local refining of petroleum products, food security, job creation, and tackling insecurity.

“The president is busy doing the job he was elected to do and will not be distracted by PDP’s idle mischief,” Morka asserted. The APC urged Nigerians to stand fast with the administration as it delivers on electoral promises.
