A mother, whose son Ibrahim fell victim to the Plateau Massacre, recounted the harrowing details of the Fulani terrorists’ assault that claimed the lives of hundreds of residents on Christmas Eve.
The massacre reportedly resulted in the deaths of over 195 individuals across 17 communities in the state, just a day before Christmas last year.
In an interview with Parallel Facts, an anonymous source who had a private conversation with the grieving mother revealed that her son, a final-year student at Plateau State University, Bokkos, was brutally killed at NTV in the Tudun Mazat area of the state.
Following his death, she received a distressing call instructing her to retrieve his severed head.
Disturbingly, upon reaching the scene, she discovered that dogs had already begun consuming the remains of her son’s head.

Despite the gruesome sight, she summoned the strength to retrieve the headless body, intending to bury it alongside the other victims of the massacre.
She said, “My son was beheaded, and one of his legs was cut off. He was buried headless. The head was later returned a day ago by the terrorists and was found being eaten by dogs just behind the house. The terrorists returned the head but threw it behind their house. His name was Ibrahim. Ibrahim was a final-year student at the Plateau State University, Bokkos.”
Meanwhile, international communities have started empathizing with the victims of the gruesome massacre, among them the Hungarian President who expressed her deep condolences over the incident on her X (formerly Twitter) page. She wrote, “Brutal attack on #Christians at #Christmas in #Nigeria. According to certain news outlets, more than a hundred people were killed. My thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims. This massacre must end. Persecuted Christians must receive help.”
Also, Pope Francis has prayed for divine intervention to bring an end to the escalating violence in the region.
