Terrorists in Hijab Invade Police Station in Katsina, Kill Officer

The Katsina State Police Command has confirmed that terrorists dressed in hijab assaulted a police post in Saki Jiki village, Batsari Local Government Area of the state.

During the attack, one officer lost his life, and another sustained injuries.

The disclosure was made by Abubakar Aliyu, the Katsina Police Public Relations Officer, in a statement released on Friday.

According to Aliyu, the incident transpired at 8 pm on Thursday. Despite the unfortunate event, the police spokesperson assured that law enforcement was effectively managing the situation at the duty post.

Aliyu said, “Yesterday (Thursday) at about 8 pm, some suspected armed bandits, deceitfully dressed in hijab, attacked officers at their duty post situated in Saki Jiki village of Batsari Local Government Area.

“The officers responded bravely and successfully repelled the attack. However, one officer lost his life and another was injured as a result of the attack.

“Further development will be communicated in due course please.”

This comes following a resurgence in terrorist attacks within the state, with Batsari Local Government Area facing at least two incidents this week.

Last week, bandits targeted Kukar Babangida village in Jibia Local Government Area, resulting in the tragic death of nine residents, including the village head.

Furthermore, on Sunday, reports emerged of bandits kidnapping three students from a private university in the state.
