VIDEO: Five Kidnapped Abuja Sisters Regain Freedom

Five out of the six sisters from the Al-Kadriyar family, who were recently abducted by bandits in the Bwari area of Abuja, regained their freedom on Saturday night.

At the time of this report, it remains unconfirmed whether the girls were rescued by security operatives or released following a ransom payment by their family.

Kabiru Aminu, an uncle to the girls, shared a video, as shared by one Abiodun Sanusi on his X handle announcing the news of their release.

@kabiru_aminu, showing the sisters and their relatives jubilating. “#Najeebahandhersisters are home right now, someone please wake me up!” he tweeted.

Adamu_Asiya_, an X user who claimed to be a cousin to the kidnapped sisters and previously reported their abduction, has now confirmed the release of the five sisters.

She wrote on X, “Day 19: Alhamdulillah. #Najeebahandhersisters are back home. They got released last night. Thank y’all for your efforts and prayers. “Don’t forget Nabeeha and Uncle Abdulfattah in your prayers. May Allah forgive their shortcomings and grant them Aljannatul Firdaus.”

Najeebah and her sisters were abducted on January 9, alongside their father. The hoodlums reportedly killed the oldest of the six girls, Nabeeha, and dumped her body somewhere for her parents to bury.
