10 Hefty Lies Told By Tinubu-Led Administration — Atiku’s Spokesman, Shaibu

Following previous assertions made by the presidency that were later revealed to be false, Phrank Shaibu, Special Assistant on Public Communication to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has claimed that the Bola Tinubu government has been defined by ten massive lies.

So, he told Nigerians and the media to always check the facts of what the government says to maintain their integrity.

He said that the repeated lies were proof that “Tinubu’s only plan was to use propaganda to deceive Nigerians rather than do any proper work in rescuing citizens from the bottomless pit of bad governance they had been pushed into in the last eight years plus 117 days of the administration of the All Progressives Congress.” This was in a statement released on Sunday.

He told the people of Nigeria not to believe the apology that Ajuri Ngelale, who is the special adviser to the President on media and marketing, and other Tinubu staff members put out.

Shaibu said that they were only sorry because they were caught, not because they were sorry. He also said that the fact that Tinubu had more media advisers than economic and security experts showed that propaganda would be the main policy of his government.

I advise the Nigerian media to always verify the validity of any assertions made by this administration. This will help them keep their credibility.” “Go outside to see if the sun is shining if the Tinubu government says it is morning,” he said.
The statement named the lies the Presidency is said to have told so far: “The first lie Bola Tinubu told was in his inaugural speech, when he said that the subsidy for gasoline was gone.” Diesel costs about N1,000 per liter, and gasoline costs about N620 per liter. This is because the price of oil is now $94 per barrel and the value of the naira is N1,000 to $1.

“Any smart person can see that gasoline is now being subsidized; this is what all oil marketers have said.” Nigerians shouldn’t fall for lies. Tinubu’s claim that there is no funding is a massive lie. The fact that they are hiding the information even further shows that they are not being honest, and it is likely that the money is being stolen again.

“Their second lie was that the United Arab Emirates had immediately lifted the ban on Nigerians needing visas and that all Nigerians were free to visit Dubai.” A lot of Nigerians who didn’t know any better believed this lie. Their only crime was believing the lies of an illegal government. CNN later found out from UAE officials that it was all a lie. What a shame for the whole country!

“This dishonest government also says that Tinubu was the first African president to ring the NASDAQ bell. Since then, it has been proven that Jakaya Kikwete, the president of Malawi, rang the bell on September 21, 2011.

“Ajuri Ngelale said in a statement on August 27, 2023, that US Presidential Envoy and Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, Ambassador Molly Phee, had told her, “President Joe Biden wants to meet with you outside of UNGA, and you are the only African leader he has asked to meet.” This was another lie. He really likes the way you’re leading them. This was another lie that got Tinubu in trouble since he left the UNGA and never met President Biden.

He said on the floor of NASDAQ, “We have retooled the exchange rate to a reliable, dependable one-figure floating of the naira.” This was the fifth lie he told. You are free to bring your money in and take it out.

“But this is yet another lie from hell.” The rate on the I&E window is about N780 to $1, while the rate on the black market is about N1,000 to $1. Also, more than $600 million in funds from foreign companies are still stuck in Nigeria. Because of this, Tinubu lied when he said, “You are free to bring in and take out your money.”

In a tweet on August 14, 2023, the Nigerian government said that the Nigerian Air Force had attacked a group of attackers in Kurebe, Shiroro LGA, Niger State. The government said that the attackers had been stopped. In its most recent story, Premium Times has now shown that this is all lies because the people who were killed were just ordinary people.

Isn’t it sad that the military has now become a target of the lies spread by the Bola Tinubu administration? In fact, once the fish’s head is rotten, the rest of its body can’t stay clean.

The Central Bank of Nigeria said on September 6, 2023, that it would clear the FX backlog by putting $10 billion into the foreign exchange market within two weeks. This was part of Bola Tinubu’s marketing campaign. Even though the deadline has been over for days, not a single bit has been put into the system. The naira keeps falling. There is no organization that Tinubu’s leadership can’t destroy.

“In his opening speech, Tinubu said, “As your President, I will serve without favoritism toward any.” But it turns out that this is also a lie. Tinubu has been running a government “of the clannish, by the clannish, and for the clannish.” He has given all of the country’s top jobs, including those in the CBN, FIRS, customs, army, police, and immigration, to people from his own clan, even though he is the petroleum and gas minister. Ten of Tinubu’s officials were from the southwest, while only five were from the southeast. I don’t know what else this is besides bias.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited said last month that they had gotten a $3 billion loan from Afrexim to help keep the naira stable. We warned Nigerians that it was all a trick to trick them. Now we’re right because the naira is worth $1 for every N1,000 on the black market, but Afrexim Bank won’t say anything about it. It was just sound money.

Perhaps the biggest lie and trick that Tinubu’s government pulled was the Student Loan Act, which he signed on June 12. The new law only lets students get loans for their fees. It doesn’t pay for any other school costs. For all federal government schools, school fees went up after the law was passed.

“But in a statement, Dele Alake, who was special adviser on media at the time, said that tuition in all government schools would stay free and that the only fees that had gone up were for housing, lab, library, and other costs. If school is free and the Student Loan Act only covers the cost of education, then the Act is useless and no money will be given out.

“In essence, Tinubu’s government has told public schools to raise fees while not giving students any loans.” This is the worst kind of lying and evil.”
