Sim Fubara has been declared as the elected Governor of Rivers State by the Supreme Court.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Patrick Tonye-Cole, who contested in the 2023 election in Rivers State, had contested Fubara’s victory.

However, the Supreme Court affirmed Fubara’s election as valid on Thursday, despite ongoing tensions between him and the Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike.
