In a harrowing incident in Dei Dei, Abuja, a soldier’s family faces grief as ruthless kidnappers attack their home, leading to the tragic deaths of Mrs. Maria Agbo and her daughter Christiana.
The victims, who were celebrating the recent birth of Christiana’s child after a decade of childlessness, were abducted along with the soldier-husband and the newborn.
Reports indicate that the criminals stormed the residence approximately two weeks ago, and the family received devastating news that Christiana and her mother had been killed. Shockingly, the kidnappers callously abandoned the newborn in an undisclosed hospital.
Jane Ann, a niece of the deceased, shared a heartbreaking account of the tragedy on social media, expressing profound sorrow and questioning the motive behind such a heinous act.
She stated, “I’m seeing all your messages, but I can’t reply because my heart is bleeding, my head is aching, and my eyes are red!
“Is she the first person to travel to her daughter’s house for omugo? Why did her life end during omugo? After a 10-year marriage with no child, they prayed to God for this child, and finally, He blessed them with one! Isn’t that cause for celebration?
“She left the village with open eyes and legs, eager to share in her daughter’s joy, only for kidnappers to snatch away both her life and her daughter’s.”
She passionately addressed the kidnappers, condemning their actions and invoking divine justice.
“Kidnappers! The lives you did not create but have the power to take will surely face judgment!
“The same hands you used to take someone’s life will turn against you! The earth you stained with these lives will hold you accountable! The path where you discarded them will condemn you! God, the creator of life, will also pass judgment upon you!”
She added, “The breath you all share is cursed! There will be no peace for the wicked ones. Whoever is behind the deaths of these innocent souls shall pay with their own life!”
