Association of Bureau De Change (BDC) Operators, Abuja Chapter, has announced the indefinite closure of their business premises, effective Thursday, February 1, 2024.
Abdullahi Dauran, the association’s Chairman, revealed the decision, attributing it to the scarcity of the United States’ currency, the dollar.
Dauran pointed to online banking transactions and the rise of cryptocurrency as contributing factors to the shortage of the dollar.

Parallel Facts reports that the naira fell to an all-time low of N1,520 per dollar on Wednesday.
In response to the economic turmoil, the Senate has summoned the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Yemi Cardoso, to address the worsening naira/dollar exchange rate. #Bureau
