NURTW Crisis: MC Oluomo Warns NLC Against Interference

The Chairman of the NUTRW, Lagos State Council, Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, has issued a stern warning to the leadership of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) against interfering in the union’s activities.

In a press conference held in Lagos, MC Oluomo cautioned the NLC against meddling in the ongoing leadership crisis within the NURTW. “The NURTW is an independent union and we have our own way of resolving our internal issues,” he said. “We urge the NLC to allow us to organise ourselves without undue interference and bias.”

MC Oluomo’s comments come amid a growing leadership crisis within the NURTW, which has seen factions within the union clashing over control and leadership roles. The crisis has led to concerns over the stability and unity of the union, prompting calls for intervention from other labour unions.

However, MC Oluomo has insisted that the NURTW is capable of resolving its own issues internally. “We have always been a self-governing body,” he stated. “We have our own constitution and our own way of doing things. We do not need outside interference.”
