Terrorists Attack Zamfara, Kill Two Policemen, Abduct 40, Including Former NURTW Chairman’s Family

Terrorists launched a deadly attack on Kasuwa-Daji Town in Zamfara State, resulting in the loss of four lives, including two policemen and No fewer than forty other persons were also abducted during the attack.

According to reports from DAILY POST, the attack occurred in the early hours of Tuesday and resulted in the tragic deaths of at least four individuals, including two police officers.

Armed with sophisticated weaponry, the terrorists reportedly entered the town in the early hours of Tuesday, creating chaos by firing indiscriminately to instill fear among residents.

Speaking on the incident, Abubakar Kaura, a resident of Kaura-Namoda town, described the terrorists’ weaponry as advanced, including anti-aircraft guns.

He said the terrorists attacked the home of the former State Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Hamisu Kasuwar-Daji and abducted one of his wives and grandchildren.

According to him, the house of the former NURTW chief is close to a police station in the town, the terrorists attacked the station, disarmed the policemen on duty, and killed two.

Another resident, who preferred to remain anonymous for security reasons, confirmed that two additional residents lost their lives during the attack, emphasizing that the terrorists abducted around forty individuals during their ruthless house-to-house raid.

According to ChannelsTV, the source stated, “Two residents were also killed, not only policemen. As of now, about forty persons have been whisked away by the bandits.”

Yazid Abubakar, the spokesperson for the Zamfara State Police Command, acknowledged the attack but did not indicate the number of persons abducted.

“Yes, there was an attack in Kasuwar-Daji early hours of today.

“We are yet to confirm the number of the residents abducted but the Commissioner of Police has deployed additional troops to restore normalcy in the town,” Abubakar added.#Zamfara
