The Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has told doubters to approach his Alma mata, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, ask his academic transcript and it will be handed over.
Obi made this known at the Chinua Acheve International Symposium in the United States on Friday.
He explained that his credentials and School transcript can be retrieved at will if needed while noting being a leader means leading by example and being open about one’s Educational Documents is a prominent sign of a good leader.
Peter Obi explains that being a leader means showing “civility” in attitudes. While addressing the audience, he says showing leadership qualities starts from being able to reveal one’s identity, one’s clear educational Background, and undiluted transparency.
He said, “Leadership needs to show it, you need to start with your name, your town, your primary, secondary, and university”.

“These things are very important, I am an alumnus of Oxford and Cambridge which you can go and verify. I don’t need to put an Injunction for you not to see it. Go to Nsukka whether they’ll give you my transcript. These are things that we must do, and we must do it and say this is who we are because that’s what makes us. There are bad leaders all over the world who didn’t go to school, just say this is who I am, these are my parents and school mates”.
The symposium tagged “The problem With Nigeria” also marked the 10th anniversary memorial celebration was Hosted by the Africa World Initiative (AWI) and Program In Africa Studies in partnership with the Christie and Chinua Achebe Foundation.
