According to reports, suspected herdsmen have allegedly killed at least 12 individuals in an attack on the Tyuruv community in the Ukum Local Government Area of Benue State.
Information gathered by DAILY POST indicates that the armed militia, believed to have originated from Chito, raided settlements including Tse-Azande, Tse-Ajauka, Tse-Ugema, and Tse-Guzo during the early hours of Wednesday, firing shots indiscriminately.
An eyewitness to the incident confirmed that some residents, attempting to flee, were fatally shot at close range while others sustained gunshot wounds as they escaped.

The attackers also reportedly set numerous houses on fire, leading displaced individuals to seek refuge in nearby bushes.
