Veteran musician Innocent ‘2Baba’ Idibia has officially severed ties with his manager, Efe Omorogbe, and the management company Now Muzik, marking the end of a remarkable two-decade-long partnership.
The announcement, made through Now Muzik’s Facebook page on Wednesday, takes immediate effect.
Efe Omorogbe, Co-founder and CEO of Now Muzik expressed gratitude for the collaborative journey with 2Baba, acknowledging the substantial achievements made during their enduring partnership. He emphasised their role in contributing to the growth of Nigeria’s and Africa’s entertainment industry.
Omorogbe stated, “I am grateful to 2Baba for the trust and the friendship. I am proud of the brands we built together, the music we made, and the fans we entertained.
“2Baba is one of the greatest Nigerian musicians of all time, and it is an honour to have had the opportunity to walk side by side with him, watching and helping him make magic over the past two decades.”
He added, “We are grateful for the opportunity to achieve major milestones working with 2Baba over the last two decades.

“These achievements have defined an era and validated our collective contributions to the growth of the entertainment industry in Africa. For this, we are extremely proud.”
In response, 2Baba expressed gratitude to Omorogbe and the entire Now Muzik team for their integral role in his career success.
The music icon, known for his contributions since departing The Plantashun Boiz in 2004, will now be managed by his imprint, ‘Hypertek Digital,’ marking a new chapter in his illustrious career.
